If you want to work with server projects, you need to set up a connection to your NVivo Server. If a network administrator installed your software, you may already have a server connection. By default NVivo is installed with only a 'standalone' connection, which is used to connect to standalone projects.
If you mostly work with server projects, set your server connection as the default connection—this saves time, because server projects are preselected when you open projects.
Refer to About Projects, for more information on server projects.
